Claude in Chrome
You have connected Claude to structured services such as email and calendar. Claude in Chrome extends that reach to websites: it can read the current page, navigate, click, and fill in fields with your approval. Install the verified extension, connect the same Claude account, and try it on a real research task.
The extension is official, published by Anthropic. It left beta on 26 August and works on paid Claude plans; you cannot install it on the free one. If you do not have a paid plan yet, read the step and see what the extension does: you will do the practice below once you have a plan. Nothing later in the course needs the extension, so there is no reason to stall here.
If the extension will not install, or you are not on Chrome, do not get stuck. On paid plans the Claude desktop app now has a built-in browser: it opens sites and works with them on its own, with no extension and no separate Chrome. You can do the practice below through it as well.
