Claude Reflect: see where your AI time actually goes
Reflect is a stats panel in Claude's settings: topics, active hours, usage over months. Here is where to turn it on and what it gives a business owner.
In July Claude got a Reflect panel: it shows what you've actually been doing with Claude. Conversation topics, active hours, how your usage changed over recent months. It's the first built-in way to see your AI work from the outside.
What does Reflect show?
The panel lives in Claude's settings and builds a picture from your conversations: which topics take the most space, which hours you're active, how the load changed month to month. Works on Free, Pro and Max plans on the web and in the app, requires memory to be on. Announcement: Anthropic, July 9, breakdown: Digital Applied.
Why does a business owner need it?
Reflect answers a question worth asking monthly: where does my AI time actually go. Typical discoveries look like this:
- Half your conversations are the same routine task. Time to turn it into an automation or a dedicated assistant instead of solving it by hand daily.
- Your active hours match your most expensive working time. Some tasks can move to a schedule so Claude runs them without you.
- A topic disappeared from the stats. The tool you meant to adopt didn't stick. An honest signal to return or let go.
How to turn it on?
- Open Claude's settings (in the app or on claude.ai).
- Check that memory is on: without it Reflect has nothing to build from.
- Find the Reflect section and open the panel. Data accumulates as you work.
If the section isn't there yet, update the app: the feature has been rolling out since July.
