- It is not an image generator. Images are not its thing; it is about text, analysis, and code.
- It can make mistakes. AI sometimes states an inaccuracy confidently. Check the result, especially where the cost of error is high.
What makes it special
Compared with other assistants, Claude has a few strengths:
- Long context. Holds large documents whole and loses fewer details.
- Precision. Usually follows instructions more closely and is more careful editing what already works.
- Artifacts. Can hand back not just text but a finished working thing: a page, a calculator, a mini-tool right in the chat.
- Projects and connectors. A workspace with your files and connections to outside services, so Claude works with your data, not in a vacuum.
How to start
Do not try to "learn AI in general". Take one real task of yours and do it with Claude:
- Open Claude and describe the task in words, as you would to a person.
- Look at the result and ask it to redo what is off. That is normal, the dialog is exactly for this.
- Repeat on a second task. Skill grows not from reading about AI, but from the number of tasks you actually did.
The difference between "chatting with a bot" and "getting a working result" is set not by the model but by the skill of framing the task. That can be learned, and fastest by doing.
